The story of Petit Jus
Le Petit Jus was born on the banks of the Thames, in London, between 2012 and 2015. Dorothée Saint-Hilaire is a research engineer in a large cosmetics company.
It was behind the counters of the London coffee shops that she discovered the culture of specialty coffee and that the idea came to her to contribute to its promotion in France. Coffee is not this bitter sip that we swallow quickly at the end of the meal or between two meetings on the corner of a bar. It is a complex drink, which has its own history.
Coffee is a noble product and good coffee is a result that owes nothing to chance: from the producer to the consumer, including the roaster, everyone has a role to play to make coffee a unique tasting experience.
It took five years for the project to mature and finally come to fruition. Dorothée was trained by Mikaël Portannier, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, and obtained her SCA certification in 2021. She set up her roasting workshop in Brittany with the idea of bringing her two worlds together: the development of quality products and her taste for good coffee.
